This 1976 300D is a one-family-owned gem that has been with the same family member since 1999.  It has been very obviously been cared for and kept in a garage its entire life.  It was originally purchased by a high end jeweler in Ithaca NY from Garage De France on April 7, 1976.  The original owner was fond of it enough that he had an auxiliary fuel cell installed in the trunk for long distance driving to see his daughter at college.  Personally, I remember college well enough that a fuel cell seems a small expense to perhaps keep one's daughter from misbehaving too badly when away at school:).  Oh, those were the days...
